RWD | The FAQ
-
We handle the heavy lifting: partnering with architects for thoughtful space planning, construction coordination, and bespoke millwork. We do this so you can focus on the feeling of the finished space. We oversee every detail from the first sketch to the final styling of your bookshelves.

Our soul is a mix of traditional architecture and modern, sensorial interiors. We love a home that feels "collected, not decorated." Think: unlacquered brass, rich textures, and yes, likely a perfectly placed stripe. While we don't require you to love stripes to work with Raychel, her "assertive vision" usually finds a way to make them feel like a neutral.
-
Yes. We are very well-traveled. We regularly work with clients in Los Angeles (specifically West Hollywood and Montecito) and take on select residential projects nationwide. If the project is right, we’ll be there.
-
We are a Manhattan-based interior design firm, but our heart (and our projects) roam everywhere from the Hamptons to Connecticut and Westchester.
-
Moose (our unofficial Chief Joy Officer) takes his job very seriously. While he can’t make every site visit, he is a vital part of the studio’s creative energy. If you’re lucky, he might make a guest appearance to approve your fabric swatches.
-
We find we are at our best when we can tell a complete story. We focus on full-home transformations and comprehensive renovations. Taking on a limited number of projects each year allows us to give your home the "obsessive" level of attention it deserves.
-
We design for the way people actually live. Many of our clients are families, so we balance high-end elegance with high-performance durability. Your home should be a sanctuary, not a museum where you’re afraid to touch the sofa.
-
Design should be a sensorial experience. Raychel believes a home should feel calm, layered, and intuitive. We aren't interested in what’s "on trend". We’re interested in what will feel beautiful and relevant in twenty years.
-
Raychel is the heartbeat of every project. She leads the creative direction and the "big moves," supported by a high-functioning team that ensures the logistics are as seamless as the design.
-
If you value timelessness over trends, appreciate a collaborative (and fun) process, and want a home that feels elevated but deeply personal, we’re probably going to get along famously.
-
Restraint, intention, and a bit of soul. We create homes that feel architecturally significant but also intimate enough to host a quiet Sunday morning. We don't just fill spaces; we cultivate them.
